JUUL Labs' Privacy Pillars

Privacy by Design

From conception to design to implementation, privacy is embedded into the development of our consumer experience. A suite of professionals that includes product design, engineering, legal, and data protection collaborate to ensure that privacy is considered throughout the product lifecycle.

Data Minimization

We design our products to collect and retain only what is absolutely necessary for valid business purposes, legal claims, or compliance with law. We never collect data ‘just in case’ it might be useful at a later date. When data is no longer necessary for valid business purposes, legal claims, or compliance with law, it is deleted in a safe and secure manner to ensure your rights and interests as a data subject continue to be protected.

Transparency

We explain our policies in easy-to-understand language and do not hide behind confusing jargon. In addition to our privacy policy, we inform you throughout your product experience -- for example, during the age verification process -- about our terms of service and data collection practices.

Safety and Security

Using a ‘defense in depth’ strategy, we adhere to best in class security practices to keep your data safe and protected against data leak and loss. This includes state of the art firewall protections, secure data transmission to ensure your data is not accessed or tampered with in transit from your device to our servers, and encrypted data storage. However, no method can be guaranteed as completely secure. If you have questions, please contact us through our support site at the bottom of this page.

Choice

We will always ask your permission before processing your personal data and whether or not you want to share your personal data with JUUL Labs or our partners. We will never use your data for any purpose for which you did not give us permission. If you agree to share your personal data, we shall ensure that the necessary safeguards are always in place.

Data Access, Correction & Deletion

You own your data and have the right to exercise control over that data. This includes the right to request a copy of your data and the right to request corrections, among others. You may also request that JUUL Labs delete your data. Except where we are expressly permitted by applicable laws to retain data, all your data will be deleted upon this request.
